They SSYAA is a registered, non-profit, tax exempt corporation which was founded in 1969 to serve the youth of the community.  The SSYAA is presently governed by a Board of Directors, not to exceed 17 members, which meets twice a month to conduct Association business.  These meetings are held on the first and third Monday evenings of each month at 7:30pm at Nasson Community Center in Springvale, and are open to the public.

The SSYAA operates five sports programs over the course of the year.  Lacrosse in the spring, Field Hockey, Football and Cheerleading in the fall, and Basketball in the winter.  Funds to operate these programs are generated from sign-up fees, team sponsorships, fundraising events, and the generosity of time and money from countless volunteers...far too numerous to mention here!
